RegistrationReturning Players have until May 15th to register and GUARANTEE a spot in NMHA. New Players may register starting May 15th from 9am-2pm at the minor hockey office-750 – 3rd St. (left side of the Nanaimo ice center), and during any of the listed office hours. Every effort will be made to place players in a suitable team/program. The Board of Directors will be responsible for the setting of fees for basic registration, competitive team tryouts fees and competitive team assessments. Registration lists will be forwarded to the Ice Coordinator after the close of regular registration who, in consultation with the Board of Directors, will allocate ice for NMHA teams/programs. Registration Packages A registration package including an application form, schedule of fees and Competitive tryout form will be distributed to Canada Post by April 15 for delivery to all players registered with NMHA in the previous season. There will be a discount of $20 for early registrations paid in full. Regular Registration The close of regular registration will be June 30. Any players registering after June 30 will be wait listed until such time as a position becomes available on a team in category. If a position on a team in category does not become available there will be a full refund of registration fees paid. Late Registration A fee of $30 will be applied to any registration received after the close of regular registration. Competitive Tryouts Competitive tryouts will be offered if registration numbers, on the close of regular registration, June 30 are such that the Board of Directors deems that a team(s) in category is feasible. Any request for an exemption must be made, in writing, to a committee consisting of the President, Managing Director, Competitive and Registrar.
